The long, drawn out saga of Villa’s chase for 26-year-old could finally come to an end with Steve Bruce gettins his man.
It looked like the former Arsenal man would be a Villan in the first few days of January but issues regarding Nottingham Forest’s ownership seemed to throw a spanner in the works.

Lansbury’s contract with Forest expires in the summer and rather than lose him on a free, they’ve decided to cash in and they’ll still make a profit on the reported £1million that they paid for him.
Villa will be getting a very good player for a relatively small fee.
Lansbury has scored six goals in 17 Championship games this season and Bruce will be hoping for a similar return.
