McCormack Says he Has Point to Prove

According to the Birmingham Mail, Ross McCormack has admitted that his confidence has plummeted as a result of his time at Villa Park. However, he is now ready to prove that he still has the skills to terrorise defences.

McCormack joined Nottingham Forest on loan on deadline day after having had a very public falling out with Steve Bruce. The striker was axed from the first team squad and was made to train with the youngsters after he failed to turn up to training because his gates were not working.

Bruce demanded a public apology from the Scotland international, but McCormack refused and, as a result, the club have allowed him to join their Championship rivals on loan until the end of the season.

Speaking for the first time since completing his move to the City Ground, McCormack revealed that he is determined to set the record straight:

“My confidence was a bit low and that will improve by playing and scoring goals. We need to pull together here to climb the league. I have come to a fantastic club to show that I am back and I am ready to go. I want to add to this group and get some good results. It came up at the last minute and I am desperate to play for Nottingham Forest. I want to get back among the goals. I’ve got to thank everyone that has brought me here. The boys are bubbly and this is what I need. I’ve a point to prove to myself”
