Talented youngster commits his future to Aston Villa

The Birmingham Mail have reported that Rushian-Hepburn Murphy has finally decided to commit his future to Aston Villa by signing a three-and-a-half-year bumper deal. This means that the talented youngster will  be contracted at Villa Park until the summer of 2020.

Hepburn-Murphy was due to be out of contract in the summer and, as a result, there had been a frustrating stand-off regarding the youngster’s future. With Rangers and Watford circling, Villa were worried that they might lose a very bright prospect.

Villa manager Steve Bruce expressed his delight at seeing the youngster commit himself to Villa:

“We’re delighted to see Rushian sign this new deal. Rushian is highly thought of at this football club and I believe he has a bright future in the game. He needs to get his head down now, work hard in training – and the opportunities will come. Andre Green has been given a chance over the past few weeks and I believe in Rushian’s qualities too. He can be an important player for us.”

Hepburn-Murphy is currently injured at the moment, but when he is back to full fitness he could find himself making some first-team appearances just like Andre Green has been doing of late.
