Aston Villa are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Haris Seferovic on a free transfer this summer, according to a report from Simon Jones of The Mail.
The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer and as such, he is free to speak to other clubs and Aston Villa have been scouting him for a few weeks.
Frankfurt do have an option to extend Seferovic’s stay at the club for another year but they are yet to trigger it.
Aston Villa look like they will be in the market for a striker in the summer and having spent a lot of money this past offseason, getting an international striker for free could prove to be a smart piece of business.
Seferovic is not a great goalscorer and if he came to Villa, he’d likely be a backup option behind Jonathan Kodjia and on a free transfer, it could prove to be a good bit of business.
