Aston Villa are targeting Barnsley central defender Marc Roberts, according to The Birmingham Mail.
The report claims that Villa are eyeing him up ahead of a potential summer move for the stopper.
It would be an interesting move by Villa, who have already procured two players from Barnsley this year.
Villa snapped up Conor Hourihane and James Bree from Barnsley in January, both of whom have had their moments in Villa colours already.
Hourihane captained Barnsley before his move to Villa, with Marc Roberts taking up the armband. Now the Midlands club are looking to steal their skipper for the second time in six months!
Roberts has impressed at the heart of the defence this season for the Championship outfit, helping the Tykes to keep 13 clean sheets.
The report claims that Villa are also considering a move for Bristol City defender Aden Flint, who has built a reputation as a goalscoring defender, with 22 goals in the last three seasons.
