Aston Villa are one of a number of clubs interested in Hoffenheim goalkeeper Marvin Schwäbe, according to a report in German publication Bild,
The report claims that Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, and Belgian side Genk are all keeping an eye on him ahead of a potential summer move.
Schwabe is currently on loan to Dynamo Dresden in the second division in Germany. The shot-stopper has impressed for Dynamo and has apparently attracted the interest of Villa, as they look to bolster their goalkeeping ranks.
The 22-year-old’s future at Hoffenheim is currently uncertain, which Villa could look to use to their advantage if they decide to make a move come July.
He could yet make a permanent switch to Dresden, but the report claims that it will be Hoffenheim who make the final decision, rather than the goalkeeper himself.
Villa would, therefore, need to outbid the second-tier side if they were to stand any chance of landing his signature for next season.
