Watford and Leicester are in talks to sign Sam Johnstone, who spent last season on loan at Villa, from Manchester United this summer.
The Daily Mail reports that Manchester United are looking to sell the player and are demanding around £5 million for the player.
Johnstone has been linked with a return to Villa Park next season, but with David de Gea being linked with a move away from Old Trafford, United are set for a goalkeeper re-shuffle.
Leicester, who could lose Kasper Schmeichel this summer are in the market for a goalkeeper and Watford, who could look for more competition for Heurelho Gomes.
Sunderland, who look set to lose Jordan Pickford, are also interested in the player following their relegation to the Championship.
Villa may also struggle to meet the £5 million asking price unless they are able to offload some of their own players this summer.
