Aston Villa are one of the clubs interested in signing Dutch striker Tom Boere from FC Oss, according to a report in the Birmingham Mail.

The 24-year-old was in prolific goalscoring form in the Dutch second tier last season scoring 33 goals in 38 games and that record has apparently got the attention of a few clubs around Europe, including Villa.

FC Twente and Anderlecht are also interested in the forward and plenty of reports in Holland seem to think a switch to Twente is on the cards as the player would like to remain in him homeland.

Boere only signed for Oss last summer but as he only put pen to paper on a two-year contract, he’s already set to enter the final year of his deal and as such, his club might be forced to see him this summer rather than lose him for nothing in 12 months time.
