Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton is wanted by Sheffield Wednesday this summer, according to the Yorkshire Post.
According to the report, Hutton is one of two key transfer targets for Carlos Carvalhal, who is looking to bolster his squad this summer.
Wednesday are keen to sign both Hutton and Charlie Mulgrew from Blackburn Rovers, who dropped into League One last season.
Wednesday want Hutton to provide competition for Jack Hunt but Villa will need to decide whether or not they want to sell to a direct rival.
Hutton only has one year remaining on his current deal at Villa Park and as one of the highest earners, the club could be tempted to move the experienced defender on.
It’s been a busy summer for Villa already with Steve Bruce re-building the defence through the additions of John Terry and Chris Samba, who had been training with the club for some time.
