Aston Villa one of three sides eyeing move for Danny Batth

Aston Villa, Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday are all keeping an eye on the developments at Wolverhampton Wanderers as all three would be keen to sign defender Danny Batth if he becomes available, as per a report in the Mail.

Willy Boly and Roderick Miranda started Wolves’ recent friendly game and there is a lot of speculation that the duo will be Nuno Espirito Santo’s first choice defensive pairing next season.

If that is the case, then Batth could well seek a move and if he does, Villa will be one of the teams in the mix for him.

The 26-year-old captained Wolves during a difficult season in 2016/17 and earned a lot of plaudits for his performances, however, it looks like he might find himself on the bench this coming campaign,

He only recently signed a new contract at Molineux so Wolves will be in no hurry to sell the defender but Villa will be ready to pounce if they feel like a deal can be done.
