Aston Villa in advanced talks to sign Snodgrass on loan
Aston Villa are in advanced talks with West Ham United about taking Robert Snodgrass on loan for the season, according to Sky Sports.
The Scottish winger only signed for West Ham in January for around £10million but he never really impressed and has been told that he can leave by manager Slaven Bilic.
Villa boss Steve Bruce knows Snodgrass well after the pair worked together at Hull City and despite interest from Birmingham City and Sunderland, Villa look the most likely destination for the 29-year-old.
The Hammers have already strengthened their attacking options this summer and Snodgrass is now surplus to requirements and it looks like the London-based side are looking to get him off the wage bill.
Whilst he’s had a difficult last few months, Snodgrass showed during his time at Hull that he’s more than capable of making an impact in the Championship which is probably the reason why Bruce is looking to add him to his squad.
