Many Villa youngsters have impressed this season as the under-23’s have won four of their opening six games in Premier League 2, with their good performances being clearly rewarded — both Keinan Davis and Callum O’Hare have earned themselves call ups to Steve Bruce’s senior side so far this season.

O’Hare made his senior Villa debut in August as Bruce’s side beat League Two Colchester United in the first round of the Carabao Cup, and went on to make his Championship bow against Cardiff City just three days later.

Jordan Lyden, who scored the winning goal in front of the scouts on Monday night, and Jake Doyle-Hayes, are two of the other Villa youngsters who have impressed for the Premier League 2 side so far this season, and the onlooking scouts may well be reporting back to their respective clubs that loan deals should be look at for the pair come the January transfer window.
