Aston Villa captain John Terry faces eight to 10 weeks out injured after suffering a broken metatarsal in his right foot against Sheffield Wednesday.
As per the BBC, Terry says he is devastated as he prepares for a spell on the sidelines.
The injury compiled what was a disappointing day for the club who lost their first home game of the season, with Wednesday winning 2-1 on the day.
Dr Tony Xia has also confirmed that the former Chelsea man would miss roughly 10 weeks of football.

The news comes as a huge blow to Villa, who were beginning to find their feet in the Championship under Steve Bruce.
Terry has been influential in Villa’s early success this season, providing leadership on and off the pitch.
Villa currently sit fifth in the Championship, seven points off the automatic places as they continue their push for promotion back to the Premier League.
