Villa eye January loan move for Marko Grujic
Aston Villa are one of the many clubs interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic on loan in January, according to a report from James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo.
The Serbian midfielder has found game time hard to come by this season after Liverpool crashed out of the League Cup early on and as such, he is looking for a loan move to keep his hopes of being included in Serbia’s World Cup squad alive.
Premier League side Brighton are also said to be interested in him, along with numerous other Premier League and Championship clubs.
Turkish sides Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are also keen to take him on loan but Liverpool are adamant that he’ll be staying in England if Jurgen Klopp does decide to let him leave in the New Year.
The manager is still undecided about letting Grujic go out on loan and he will wait until after the busy festive season to make a final decision, which will depend on the injury/suspension situation at Anfield come January.
Having made just one start and five substitute appearances for the Reds this season, it’s easy to see why he fancies a loan and if Klopp allows him to move, Villa will be hoping to do a deal.
