Aston Villa join the race for Yeovil’s Tom James
Celtic will face competition from Aston Villa in their pursuit of Yeovil defender Tom James according to the Birmingham Mail.
The defender has been impressive for Yeovil this season, after joining from Cardiff last January on a free transfer after cancelling his contract on a mutual basis.
James made his Premier League debut for the Bluebirds in their lone season in the top flight before making the move to the South West.
He has been a mainstay in the Yeovil side this season, and appeared as Yeovil got a dream FA cup matchup against Manchester United. He has made 45 appearances for the Glovers this season, and has managed to score once in League Two.
His performances has attracted interest from a variety of clubs, such as Swansea, Bristol City and Celtic, but Aston Villa have joined the race for the 22 year old.
James also has two caps at u19 level for Wales.
