Ross McCormack has been left out of Aston Villa’s training camp in Portugal with his immediate future appearing to be away from Villa Park.
John Percy of The Telegraph reports that the player is unlikely to be given another chance at breaking into the Villa squad after a spell away from the club on loan.
The club have since made the player available for transfer in an attempt to stir up some interest in his services.
McCormack fell out of favour under Steve Bruce and was sent out on loan to Australia during the second half of last season.
Due to the player’s high wages, the club have struggled to permanently move him on but they may be forced to cut their losses this summer.
Villa need to sell in order to balance the books this summer and McCormack remains one of the more valuable assets, despite his poor form at the club.
