Mile Jedinak believed to be closing in on Villa exit

Mile Jedinak is reportedly making efforts to conclude a deal with a ‘European club’ in his aim to leave Aston Villa, according to the Mirror.

It’s claimed in the report that the 34-year-old is close to putting pen to paper on a deal with a new club, with Villa keen to offload the Australian international this summer.

Steve Bruce’s side are struggling to make funds amid pressure from Financial Fair Play regulations, meaning that key players such as Jedinak are set to be pushed out of the exit door.

Jedinak’s current deal at Villa Park runs until the summer of 2019 but the club are keen to cut short his stay as they continue trying to relieve their current financial situation’s pressures.

The defensive midfielder is understood by the Mirror to currently be earning a huge wage of £50,000 per week, meaning that his departure would certainly ease the severity of Villa’s wage bill as they compete with monetary difficulties.
