The club have revealed that Bruce will not be axed, following speculation that he was set to leave Villa Park.
Reports had claimed that Villa were ready to bring in Arsenal legend Thierry Henry to replace Bruce, who has a £2m buyout clause in his contract at Villa Park.
Henry quit his job as part of Roberto Martinez’s coaching staff with Belgium in pursuit of a managerial role, but will now have to look elsewhere.
Bruce led Villa to the play-off final last season, but looks set for a tougher campaign with a host of financial restrictions, which has left the club incapable of signing first-team players.
