Aston Villa appear to be putting plans in place for Premier League football next season, that’s according to a report from Record in Portugal.
As cited on Sport Witness, they claim that Villa want to agree a deal in principle for Benfica youngster Keaton Parks.
Steve Bruce’s men have already made contact with the Portuguese side to discuss a deal for next summer when they believe they will be playing top flight football.
The report hints that securing Premier League football will play a big role in any potential deal for the American.
Villa lost the play-off final against Fulham last season and will be hoping to mount another promotion push this time around.
Bruce will be hoping that he can put a difficult summer behind him, with a host of financial worries surrounding the club off the pitch, which appear to have been put to bed following the recent takeover.
