Aston Villa set to make late move for Isaac Success
Championship side Aston Villa are hoping to sign Watford striker Isaac Success as manager Steve Bruce looks to bolster his attacking options, according to a report on the Birmingham Mail.
Villa lost the Championship play-off final last season and will be aiming to secure promotion to the Premier League this season, but Bruce knows that they need more firepower in attack to achieve that.
According to Bleacher Report, the Nigerian international is set to leave Vicarage Road in search of regular first-team football.
The 22-year-old striker was sent on loan to Spanish La Liga side Malaga last season and he is reportedly open to making a move away from the Hornets.
His career has stalled in recent years and he is looking to re-discover his form and confidence that persuaded Watford to sign him two years ago.
He played nine times in the La Liga and managed to register one assist during that time.
Bruce is after a skilful and pacey attacker, which is the perfect description of Success, who can operate on the flanks as well as through the middle.
