Bristol City defender Joe Bryan has completed a medical at Aston Villa ahead of his move to the club today.
According to Sky Sports, Bryan has passed his medical and is set to sign for Villa for a fee in the region of £5m.
Bryan has been a consistent performer at left-back for Bristol City over the past few seasons and is seen as one of the best fullbacks in the division.
The 24-year-old featured for Bristol City in their opening game against Nottingham Forest, but could now be in line for his Villa debut this weekend.
Middlesbrough also agreed a deal to sign Bryan this week, but the left-back has opted for a move to Villa Park to play under Steve Bruce.
The club are also expected to keep hold of key midfielder Jack Grealish, after they rejected a £25m offer from Champions League side Tottenham earlier today.
