Aston Villa’s Championship rivals Leeds United are interested in a deal to sign winger Albert Adomah, who has declined the opportunity re-open contract talks with the club.
According to the Birmingham Mail, both Middlesbrough and Leeds are keeping tabs on the winger’s situation at Villa Park.
Boro are interested in re-signing the player that left the club back in 2016.
Adomah had been linked with moves away from the club when it looked as if they would need to sell.
However, that no longer appears to be the case following the club’s recent takeover.
Steve Bruce has previously expressed his desire to keep the player at the club, who played a key role in Villa’s promotion bid last season.
The player is believed to be settled in the area, according to the report, something that could boost Villa’s chances of keeping the player at the club.
