Jack Grealish is set to stay at Aston Villa, with Tottenham Hotspur ending their interest in the midfielder in this transfer window.
Sky Sports report that Spurs will not be making anymore bids for the Villa man in this window, ending their interest in Grealish for the time being.
Tottenham had offered over £25 million for the midfielder, but Villa rejected the bid, stating that they did not have to sell their best players.
This is completely different to earlier in the window, where Aston Villa were under massive financial pressure to sell. This was until Dr Tony Xia sold his majority stake in Villa, after the Chinese businessman was unable to keep the club afloat.
Grealish will, therefore, stay at Aston Villa for the time being, with the midfielder committing to the club’s push to return to the top flight.
The midfielder is a product of the Aston Villa academy and really flourished last season as Villa narrowly missed out on promotion back to the Premier League.
