Jack Grealish’s new deal at Aston Villa will reportedly include a clause that will allow him to leave the club should they fail to secure promotion.
According to the Daily Star, Villa are hopeful about offering the player a new deal on improved conditions, after a move to Tottenham fell through.
The report claims that Grealish is inline for a wage hick, while the deal will also allow him to move on next summer if Premier League football is not secured.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men were heavily linked with a move for Grealish throughout the summer, but the two sides were unable to agree on a fee for the player.
There have been contrasting reports over the player’s interest in the move, but it is believed that Grealish was keen to join the Premier League outfit.
Grealish refused to force through a move away from his boyhood club and is now set to try and secure promotion with Villa this season.
