Championship side Aston Villa have made a €9m offer for Harold Moukoundi.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, Villa have bid for the central defender as they look to secure a January transfer.
The report claims, however, that Moukoundi could prefer to stay in France, with interest from Ligue 1 side Rennes.
Moukoundi currently plies his trade in Ligue 2 for Le Havre, where he has made over 40 appearances.
The 20-year-old’s contract with Le Havre expires at the end of the season, which could tempt them into selling him in the next transfer window.
Celtic are also thought to be interested in the centre-back, as Brendan Rodgers looks to improve his options in defence.
Like Rodgers, Steve Bruce is hoping to improve his defensive options too and it looks like Moukoundi is the man he wants to bring in.
