Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah failed to complete a move to Middlesbrough on deadline day due to personal demands.
According to The Teeside Gazette, Adomah’s personal terms were unacceptable by Middlesbrough and the club had to pull the plug on the deal.
Adomah was free to leave Villa after the club brought in Yannick Bolasie, with the winger now, seemingly, in limbo until January.
He is unlikely to get much game-time between now and the next transfer window, unless Steve Bruce decides to bring him back into the fold.
Adomah scored 15 goals in all competitions for Villa last season, but has had a difficult start to this season.
Villa were able to make an addition on deadline day, bringing in Tammy Abraham on loan from Chelsea.
The striker scored 23 Championship goals in a season with Bristol City during the 2016/17 campaign.
He netted five times in the Premier League last season as Swansea were relegated to the Championship.
