Leeds United were reportedly offered the chance to sign Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah during the latter stages of the transfer window.
Birmingham Live reports that the player’s representatives were in contact with both Leeds and Middlesbrough over a potential deal for the player.
Middlesbrough were believed to be leading the race to sign the player, but a deal fell through at the last minute, meaning the winger is now set to stay at Villa Park for the foreseeable future.

The player had been told he was free to leave the club, with Crystal Palace’s Jason Puncheon lined up to replace him.
Adomah’s future at the club has been unclear for some time, with Steve Bruce open to letting him leave.
He now faces a battle to win back a place in Bruce’s plans with the window closed until January. The winger has started three of Aston Villa’s games in the Championship so far this season.
