Villa target Bakary Sako set for Wolves move
Aston Villa appear to have missed out on the potential signing of Bakary Sako, with the free agent set to join West Brom.
According to freelance reporter Tim Nash, a short-term deal is being lined up for the player to join the Baggies.
Sako has been linked with a host of different clubs since leaving Crystal Palace over the summer.
The winger was unable to nail down a place in the Palace squad, with injuries keeping him sidelined for large spells of last season.
Palace had been keen to re-sign the player but had concerns over his fitness, while Aston Villa were also believed to be in the running.
West Brom are likely to mull over any concerns about the player’s recent injury record while he is on trial at the club.
The former Wolves man will provide a wealth of experience at this level, having impressed in the Championship during his time at Molineux.
