The midfielder had been part of the Australia squad at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
Jedinak made 79 appearances for Australia but, like many footballers in the latter stages of their careers, he is looking to focus on his time club football with Aston Villa.
The midfielder made his full international debut for Australia back in 2008 against Singapore and since gone on to captain the Socceroos, helping them to win the AFC Asian Cup back in 2015.
Jedinak has featured in three World Cups and it was his hat-trick against Honduras back in 2017 that would ensure Australia qualified for this summer’s tournament in Russia.
