Aston Villa target and free agent Robert Huth has been discussing his next move, with the German defender still without a club.
Speaking on Goals on Sunday, as reported by the Birmingham Mail, the former Leicester City and Chelsea defender revealed he is taking his time to decide on his next move.
I’ve just got to let it be for now and then I feel ready to go, I’ll give it a go.
I’ve had a few things, a few sniffs, but you know what they’re like! They’re also waiting for a better deal, a cheaper deal to come along. At the moment it’s a bit quiet.
I’m based in Wilmslow, so ideally local would be great. Kids are at an age know where I’m a local taxi driver, so it would be great if I could be around. If it’s a further distance, then it’s no big deal.
Huth has been one of the many names to be linked with a move to Villa Park with Steve Bruce desperate to strengthen defensively.
The defender was released by Leicester at the end of last season and concerns over the player’s fitness could be what is holding up a potential move.
James Collins and John Terry, who are both free agents, have also been linked with a move to Villa Park in recent months.
Huth has been training with his former side Stoke City over the summer in his bid to maintain his fitness.
