Aston Villa are likely to approach Celtic for Brendan Rodgers, as they continue their hunt for a new manager.
Sky Sports and TalkSPORT presenter Jim White reports that the Hoops boss is in the running, despite Rodgers distancing himself from the job.
Rodgers was linked with the job over the weekend but has played down his interest after Celtic’s difficult start to the season.
Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry is among the favourites to replace the recently-sacked Steve Bruce, with John Terry being touted as his potential number two.

The former was linked with the job over the summer but the club’s new owners decided to stick with Bruce shortly after taking over at the club.
Rodgers himself has been linked with moves away from Celtic in the past.
When Arsene Wenger announced that he would be leaving Arsenal, Rodgers was among the names reportedly on the club’s radar. While Chelsea were also said to be considering him when it became clear Antonio Conte would be leaving the club.
