Villa’s Mitchell Clark attracting Premier League interest
Aston Villa youngster Mitchell Clark is reportedly attracting interest from both Newcastle and West Ham after impressing out on loan.
The promising defender is currently enjoying a loan spell in League Two with Port Vale and has established himself as one of the club’s key first-team players.
Clark has already featured 10 times for Port Vale in the league this term as he continues to build up his experience of senior football on a regular basis.
It’s claimed by the printed edition of the Daily Mirror, as per a report from HITC, that Newcastle are among the clubs keeping tabs on Clark’s progress during his loan spell, with West Ham also interested.
Clark, naturally a left-back, is understood to be held in high regard by parent club Villa, indicating that a move away for the 19-year-old in the near future could be difficult for Newcastle.
However, it seems the Magpies’ interest has been piqued by Clark, whose displays in the fourth tier of English football continue to impress.
