Norwich City manager Daniel Farke believes that Aston Villa will be in the mix for promotion under new boss Dean Smith.
Speaking ahead of the meeting between the two sides, as reported by the Birmingham Mail, Farke hailed Smith who has recently replaced Steve Bruce at the club.
When quizzed on the new Villa boss, Farke revealed he is expecting big things from Smith this season.
With John Terry as an experienced player beside him, to bring him as well is a massive appointment. I have no doubt they will climb up the table. I hope they wait a few games before they start. They will be in the mix.

Smith’s Villa side are 13th in the Championship after as many games, three points behind Norwich who are up in sixth place.
With the Championship table so closely contested at this early stage, Smith will know that a good run of form will see the club fly up the table.
So much so, Villa could launch themselves into the play-off area with three points against Farke’s Norwich on Tuesday night.
After an impressive start to the season with Brentford, many Villa fans will be hoping for a similar run of form under Smith at Villa Park this season.
