Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack is not expecting to be given a new chance under Dean Smith.
The forward was cast out by Steve Bruce, who was sacked earlier this month, but McCormack believes his situation will not change.
Speaking to The Birmingham Mail, McCormack said this:
I can’t see it, to be honest. That ship’s probably sailed, but it’s hard to say.
I’ve still got another year left after this season, so you can never say never.
I’d probably be surprised if that changed something for me.

McCormack joined Aston Villa in 2016 from Fulham for a deal worth in the region of £12m after he scored 38 goals in 89 Championship appearances.
However, he struggled to find his feet at Villa Park and scored three goals in 23 appearances for the club in his first season.
He was then sent on loan to Nottingham Forest, where he was only able to score once in seven games in the Championship.
McCormack made his name at Leeds, where he scored 58 goals in 158 games in all competitions.
