Grealish one booking away from missing Birmingham City clash
Jack Grealish will have to be careful when Aston Villa take on Derby County at Pride Park this Saturday with the star just one booking away from a suspension, the Derby Telegraph reports.
If Grealish is to pick up another yellow card against the Rams this weekend then he will face a one-match suspension, which will be for Villa’s next fixture on Sunday 25th November against local rivals Birmingham City.
Grealish spoke to the club website about the potential of picking up another booking:
We are just going to take each game as it comes.
For me personally, I need not to get another yellow card to miss any. I have got one left now for about another four or five games, so that’s my aim.
Grealish added when asked about the match against Birmingham City on 25 November:
That’s the one I am looking forward to the most.
Grealish enjoy a goal and assist last time out for Villa against Championship rivals Bolton Wanderers and said that he is enjoying working under former team-mate John Terry and new manager Dean Smith.
I am loving it. It’s nice for me as well because he (Smith) is a Villa fan, all of his family are Villa fans the same as I am, really.
We get on well, I think you could see the way we played, we are doing certain stuff on the training pitch that is all paying off.
It suits me a lot, it suits a lot of the players to be fair. He has got two great coaches in JT and Richard. I think all the boys are enjoying at the moment.
Grealish went on to speak of his own recent performances:
Getting a goal and assist (against Bolton) and putting in a better all-round performance, I think I am on my way there, hopefully now.
I can just carry on training, working hard and, hopefully, put in another good performance against Derby.
