John McGinn has reportedly suffered an injury that could rule him out of Scotland’s clash with Albania on Friday night.
The Daily Record claims that the Aston Villa star is suffering from a calf injury that has delivered a blow to both Dean Smith and Scotland boss Alex McLeish.
McGinn has emerged as a key player for his country recently and the player is set to be a huge miss for McLeish’s men.
Scotland are currently in the midst of an injury crisis, with as many as 10 players missing out on the game.
McGinn, who has impressed since joining Villa over the summer, could take that tally up to 11 if he is to miss the clash on Friday night as well.
Smith will be hoping the injury is nothing too serious and he has the player back fully fit for the Second City derby when domestic football returns.
