Villa hit with double injury blow ahead of Forest clash

Aston Villa will be without Albert Adomah and Henri Lansbury for Wednesday night’s game against Nottingham Forest, according to reports. 

The encounter will see the eighth and seventh placed teams in the Championship go toe-to-toe, and could have major ramifications come the table at the end of the season.

It will come as a frustration to manager Dean Smith then that he will be without Adomah and Lansbury for the match, with both players picking up injuries during the 4-2 victory against Birmingham City on Sunday.

Adomah played 65 minutes in the Second City derby, before being substituted for Yannick Bolasie.

Lansbury however entered the fray at half time, but was forced off through an ailment after just eight minutes. The midfielder will be deprived of a chance to play against his former club on Wednesday evening, having left Forest in 2017.
