Aston Villa are confident that they can keep hold of Tammy Abraham beyond the January transfer window, according to Birmingham Live.
It had been suggested that Chelsea will consider recalling the striker following the fine form he has shown in the Championship this season.
Preliminary talks between both clubs have taken place, but the Championship side are confident Abraham will remain a Villa player until the end of the season.
Chelsea have the option to recall the striker in January, as per the season-long loan deal that was agreed in the summer.
Villa be hoping that John Terry can pull a few strings at his former side to ensure the striker remains at the club.
Chelsea are in need of another striker and reports have suggested they could make a big move in January.
However, Abraham would certainly represent a quicker, cheaper alternative if Maurizio Sarri and his staff have been impressed with what they have seen from him this season.
