Aston Villa are reportedly keeping tabs on Australian duo Josh Risdon and Brandon O’Neill.
According to the Herald, as cited on The Age, Villa are one of two Championship sides that have been watching the A-League duo.
The report claims that Villa and a London-based club from the Championship have been watching the two players, who currently apply their trade for Western Sydney and Sydney FC respectively.
Villa have reportedly been watching footage of the pair in action and are also expected to be asking Mile Jedinak for references on the duo.
Both players have been impressing in Australia and are believed to be keen on the idea of a move to Europe.
Fortunately for Villa, neither player is expected to suffer from work permit problems.
O’Neill, who plays as a midfielder, has an Irish background and Risdon is eligible for a Croatian passport, despite the latter previously seeing a move to England fall through as a result of work permit issues.
