According to a report by Football Insider, Aston Villa are weighing up a move for CJ Hamilton from Mansfield Town.
The 23-year-old, who was released by Sheffield United in 2016, has been in scintillating form for the League Two side this season and his seven goals and seven assists have helped propel Mansfield Town into an automatic promotion spot.
It is believed that Aston Villa sent a couple of scouts to watch him in their win against Crawley on Tuesday night.

However, Villa aren’t the only ones who are interested in this talented youngster – Preston North End offered 750k for him earlier this month, but it was turned down. Furthermore, it is also believed that West Brom are keeping an eye on him.
Mansfield are obviously keen to keep hold of one of their best players, but with such clubs circling, it’s hard to see them doing so. The winger is tipped to soon become Mansfield’s first £1 million player.
