Yannick Bolasie returned to Everton on Monday after he reportedly asked for his season-long loan deal to be cancelled.
Bolasie made 21 appearances for Aston Villa and he was bitterly disappointing in the majority of those. In fact, his performances were so poor that many Villa fans were happy that his loan deal was torn up.
However, according to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Villa might still see him in action this season as it is believed that Middlesbrough are extremely keen about signing him on loan for the rest of the season.
Tony Pulis had wanted to bring Bolasie to the Riverside in the summer, but he decided on joining Steve Bruce at Villa instead. Now, it is believed that Pulis will make another attempt to acquire his services.
Dean Smith’s men will face Boro at Villa Park on the 17th March, and they could find themselves lining up against their former teammate.
