Aston Villa youngster Mitch Clark has revealed that he is not thinking about a possible return to the club this month.

Speaking to Stoke on Trent Live, Clark talked up the chances of remaining on loan at Port Vale for the remainder of the season.

I presume I am saying for the rest of the season. I am just going to keep my focus on Vale. I am happy to be here, I am loving my time here and enjoying my football and just trying to improve myself.

Clark has been impressing in the Football League, leading to suggestions that Dean Smith could recall him in the near future.

Villa do have the option to recall him as part of the loan agreement, but they may decide to keep him at Vale in order for him to play regularly between now and the end of the season.

Smith will know all about Clark’s talents having watched him in action recently, he could be a player to consider for next season.

Villa fans will be eager to keep a close eye on his development between now and the summer, with Clark somebody that could save the club a lot of money down the line.
