Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan is expected to complete a move to Sheffield United within the next 24 hours.
According to Football Insider, a loan move to join up with Chris Wilder’s side is believed to be close.
Hogan is reportedly undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Bramall Lane.
The report claims that United tried to sign Hogan in the summer but they were unsuccessful in their pursuit.
Clearly unwilling to give up on the forward, Wilder now looks set to get his man during the January window.
It had been widely reported that the club are willing to let the player leave Villa Park this month after falling out of favour under Dean Smith.
Hogan has never quite fulfilled his potential at the club since his move from Brentford and his big wages have led to some headaches behind the scenes at Villa Park.
