According to BBC journalist Simon Stone, Aston Villa are interested in getting Nathaniel Chalobah on loan from Watford for the rest of the season.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder, who can also play at centre-back if need be, is finding game time hard to come by this season and that has not been helped by an injury that has kept him out of action for the last six weeks or so.

If Chalobah is fit again and available to play, then he would definitely be a great addition to Dean Smith’s squad.
He earned his first England cap in the 3-2 win against Spain in the UEFA Nations League last October, so, if Gareth Southgate thinks that he is good enough to play for England, then he is certainly good enough for Villa.
At the moment, Smith is lacking a consistent and top quality defensive midfielder, so Chalobah could be the answer to his problems in that position.
