Tammy Abraham was heavily linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers during the January transfer window, and at one stage, according to a number of reports, a deal had been agreed and he would be leaving Villa for the Premier League.
However, much to the delight of all Villa fans, it was announced halfway through the month that the 21-year-old, who now has 19 goals in 23 matches and should eventually become the first Villa player to score 20 league goals in a season since Peter Withe did it in 1981, would be staying until the end of the season.

Now, in an interview with Aston Villa’s Club TV, he has revealed why he decided to stay:
I felt like here was home. It has been since I stepped through the door in August.
Everyone has made me feel so welcome. Obviously you have the gaffer and the likes of John Terry here. It feels like one big family.
Everything is great here. Dean Smith and JT called me every day. They told me I’d continue to score lots of goals here and that they believed I could take us up. When someone believes in you that deeply, it gives you that confidence.
You want to go out there every game and you don’t just want to do the best for yourself – but for the staff, the coaches and everyone else.
He also went on to say that the possibility of finishing as the Championship’s top goalscorer and his love for Villa’s great fans played a major part in him deciding to see out his loan spell at Villa Park.
