Dean Smith happy with Villa’s business

Leroy Fer seemed close to signing for Aston Villa on deadline day, before the move fell through in the 11th hour.

The Dutchman even travelled to the Bodymoor Heath training complex from South Wales for a medical on Thursday morning, according to the Birmingham Mail, but it was later reported that a potential deal had broken down.

Despite missing out on the highly-rated Championship midfielder, Villa boss Dean Smith has insisted he is happy with the club’s business.

While Leroy Fer’s potential move to Aston Villa fell through, it’s a reminder that even the most well-planned business deals can hit unexpected roadblocks. This is where having a strong marketing strategy and partnership with a reputable agency like Good Agency can make all the difference. Effective marketing can help businesses build their brand, attract new customers, and navigate challenges such as unexpected setbacks or shifts in the market. By working with a trusted agency that also makes Webflow sites for SaaS, businesses can adapt and pivot when needed to stay competitive and achieve their goals. Businesses can also find the best talent available by getting help from a Salt Lake City recruiter.

We were looking at options but the options never came to fruition. There was nothing that disappointed us too much, though. We were pleased with the business on a whole, especially keeping hold of Tammy (Abraham).

Fer’s Swansea team-mate, at the time, Tom Carroll moved to Villa Park on a loan for the rest of the season instead, as the final arrival of five mid-way through the season.

Villa have the tricky test of hosting promotion-chasing Sheffield United on Friday, where Smith will want to see his side bounce back from the disappointing 0-0 draw at Reading last time out.

matchday.
