New Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen on bringing Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn to the King Power Stadium in the summer, the Birmingham Mail report.
Rodgers, who was announced as Claude Puel’s successor in the week, attempted to sign the Scottish international for Celtic last summer, however, McGinn decided to join Villa from Hibernian.

Since then, the 24-year-old, who made the move to Villa Park in a deal worth around £3 million, has been a regular under both Steve Bruce and Dean Smith this season, with McGinn scoring twice in 31 appearances.
And as a result of McGinn’s impressive performances, Rodgers is set to reignite his interest in the midfielder by tempting him with a move to the Premier League.
After picking up a booking in the 2-0 defeat to West Brom, McGinn was suspended for Villa’s meetings with Stoke City and Derby County, however, the energetic midfielder is expected to return to the matchday squad against Birmingham City next week.
