Aston Villa achieved their eighth successive Championship win on Saturday against play-off rivals Bristol City at Villa Park.
Second-half goals from Tammy Abraham and Conor Hourihane were enough to hold off the Robins and secure a 2-1 triumph on what could be a crucial day in the race for promotion.
Dean Smith’s side are the in-form outfit in the Championship at the moment and are now sitting in fifth, five points clear of Middlesbrough in seventh.
Things won’t get any easier for the Villans in the run-in though. Although relegation-doomed Bolton Wanderers are next up, Smith’s men still have to face title challengers Leeds United and Norwich City in the final two fixtures.
