After reportedly turning down a transfer to Aston Villa, Celta Vigo midfielder Nemanja Radoja looks set to join Real Betis this summer.
According to reports in Spain, as cited on the Birmingham Mail, the Serbian has rejected a number of club offers, including Italian Serie A side Spal, as well as Villa.
Problems regarding a work permit in England were also believed to be among the reasons behind the move to Villa Park breaking down, resulting in the player turning down the transfer completely.
Fiorentina were close to landing Radoja’s signature, however, reports emerged that the move broke down before anything could be settled.
With the play-offs looking likely for Villa, a summer overhaul will be on the cards for Dean Smith’s side, should they make a return to the Premier League.
Their star man Jack Grealish, who has had a great season with Villa in the Championship has been linked with a move away to various clubs over the season, including Tottenham, who have pushed to bring the player to North London over the last two transfer windows.
Should the Birmingham-born midfielder make an exit from the club, Dean Smith and his board will be looking for a worthy replacement, and with Radoja on his way to Real Betis, the club will need to start looking elsewhere.
