Crystal Palace to compete for Jack Grealish’s signature
Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish is now being targeted by South London side Crystal Palace.
Should the club earn promotion in the play-offs towards the end of the season, they will be looking to improve their squad and would be able to do so with the transfer of Grealish, although a price tag has not been set.
However should they fail to do so, it is unlikely they will be able to hold on to their star player.
According to the Daily Mail, Palace have set their price for star man Wilfried Zaha at £80 million, and with the Ivorian on the hunt for Champions League football, it is unlikely the 26-year-old will be at Selhurst Park next season.
With the likelihood that Wilfried Zaha will be leaving the club, it is vital that the Eagles are to find a replacement, and Grealish could replicate the attacking creativity that Zaha brings to the pitch.
Zaha has been a key player in Palace’s duration in the Premier League, having recently ended a two-year run in which they failed to win a game without the winger. He has been involved in 17 goals this season, nine of his own and eight assists.
Tottenham are another club looking to sign Grealish and after failing to complete the 23-year-old’s transfer last summer, he still remains as one of their top targets.
